Abby Hsiao is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia who graduated with honours from the University of British Columbia (UBC) where she completed her Dietetics Degree. Abby mostly works as a dietitian for the Vancouver Coastal Health Eating Disorders Program, however Abby also works as a clinical dietitian for Providence Health Care (St. Paul’s Hospital) as well as Fraser Health (Ridge Meadows Hospital and Langley Hospital).
Abby specializes in supporting clients of all ages with eating disorders and disordered eating, including those struggling with dieting and weight concerns. In the context of mental health, Abby recognizes that mental health illnesses are often complicated by an eating disorder or disordered eating. Abby works to help clients meet their nutrition goals while re-building a healthy relationship with food. She works from a weight-inclusive (health at every size), non-diet (intuitive eating) approach that is compassionate and free of judgment.
Abby’s clinical nutrition experience has also provided her with the expertise in other areas of nutrition including child feeding and management of chronic diseases.
